Historic Farm House | West Rutland VT

Overlooking the majestic Green Mountains, The Historic Farm House sits at the center of a 1,700-acre, seven-farm complex. The 19th century farm house, which is perched between two mature maple trees, had fallen into a state of neglect. The goal was to recreate an energy efficient farm house that retained the character of the original farmstead. Using such authentic touches as beams and reclaimed oak flooring from the original farm house, the Glendenning Team was able to achieve an ambiance consistent with the original elevation, front farm house porch and interior, while earning "Vermont Energy Star Home" status.
