Overlooking the majestic Green Mountains, The Anderson Hill Farmhouse sits at the center of a 1,700-acre, seven-farm complex. The 19th century farmhouse, which is perched between two mature maple trees, had fallen into a state of neglect. The goal of the Anderson family was to recreate an energy efficient farmhouse that retained the character of the original farmstead. Using such authentic touches as beams and reclaimed oak flooring from the original farmhouse, the Glendenning Team was able to achieve an ambiance consistent with the original elevation, front farmhouse porch and interior, while earning “Vermont Energy Star Home” status.
